Today (January 6th) marks the last day for the submission of comments to redistricting@lmsd.org in regards to the 3rd Draft with Modifications that the board is considering. This plan divides Narberth into three disconnected pieces with some mandatory Harriton attendance areas and other High School choice areas. The map can be seen here:

Redistricting is simply not necessary. The reason the School Board insists on two equal schools is because it has oversized the school buildings to accomodate a bloated admin staff (e.g. ten principals/vice principals) and to avoid the public voting requirements of PA ACT 34; the two largest and most expensive schools on a per pupil basis ever built in the US! If they don't redistrict, Harriton will be fully twice the size needed for its 850 students.
If you want to stop this madness, log on to www.lmsd.info and learn what you can do. Hundreds of citizens have already joined the only citizen group that has the legal standing to force the School Board to do the right thing. It's not too late to get it right!
