Narberth Natural, a health-food staple on Haverford Ave since 1971, has been reborn. For years, the store also offered the 'Garden of Eatin' with a wide variety of natural, healthy eat-in food options. Owner, Gloria Stein, and her new partner, Jackie, decided and to create something new. At the new Narberth Cuisine, the eat-in area occupies the vast majority of the retail space. A few shelves of supplements remain to continue servicing loyal long-time customers.
The decor is simple but the complex aroma of Thai French cuisine wets the appetite. Narberth Cuisine offers eat-in lunch or dinner as well as take-out service. Alcohol is BYOB. Traditional Thai dishes such as Lemongrass Soup will be complemented with more French cuisine as the weather cools and winter sets in according to Jackie.
Traditional Chicken Satay is on the menu alongside less traditional offerings such as Salmon Pizza and Spicy Turkey Meatballs in Thai Red Sauce. The aptly named "Narberth Jungle" platter offers a wide array of vegetables sauteed with bean curd, coconut milk and the chef's secret blend of herbs and spices.
Why not swing by, smell the spices wafting through the air, and give it a try?
