- Narberth's Hampden & Windsor and Hampden & Woodbine intersections will soon have stop signs installed to calm traffic in those areas. Also, a traffic light and pedestrian crossing is planned for the Merion Exxon intersection at Haverford & Montgomery Ave. In addition, Bill Martin, Borough Manager, indicated the possible installation of speed bumps on Meeting House Lane to further calm traffic as it approaches Iona Ave.
- In an unsual report, the Main Line Times reveals that Narberth Police have charged Diane Tyler of the 100 block of Iona Ave with criminal harassment and disorderly conduct. The charges stem from a series of emails sent to a variety of Narberth business and community interests from an anonymous Yahoo mail account. The messages accused Narberth Police of misconduct and harassment. Many of these emails were also posted as comments on the Narblog over the past few months. - Mayor Tom Grady will hold a "Meet The Mayor" event on August 22th and 9am at the corner of Forrest and Haverford Ave. This will be followed up by an indoor "Meet the Mayor" event on Wednesday, August 27th, 2008 at 7:30pm in Borough Hall.
